Sometimes that sweet tooth just hits you like a ton of bricks…bummer right? But it doesnt have to be. If you are someone that enjoys a sweet snack from time to time, this is a great recipe to try at home or even for a party/gathering. That way you can ensure that you have something yummy and nutritious to eat, even when in a social situation.
This recipe is for one serving only, so if you would like to make it for multiple people, just double, triple, etc based on how many you believe to be eating the goodies you make.
Ingredients:
1 small-medium overripe banana, smashed
1 scoop vanilla protein powder of choice
1 Tablespoon of Stevia *** optional
1 Tablespoon oat flour or coconut flour
1 Tablespoon of gluten free cake flour ***optional
2 Tablespoon nut butter of choice
1 Tablespoon pure maple syrup
1 Teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Almond milk ***use as needed
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine your mashed banana with the scoop of protein powder, flours, and Stevia.
- In a microwave safe bowl, melt your nut butter and maple syrup. Stir in the vanilla extract and pour into the dry mixture and mix until it gets to a sticky consistency. If the batter becomes crumbly, simply add the almond milk until a batter is formed. If the batter is too thin, add a bit of flour.
- Transfer to another bowl and enjoy!
